This functional vase is in response to how I view people and the different faces they put on in society. Depending on which side of the vase is viewed, a different expression is shown. When viewed from the middle the vase displays both profile relief portraits depicting how a person can have different faces to put on. 

The vase was wheel thrown using a stoneware clay body and fired in cone 10 reduction with St. John’s Black glaze.
