This set of three functional plates is an extension of my “Sense and Form” series also made in response to my experiences in society as a female. Each face, this time in full portrait, is melting into the base of the plate just as in society women get lost or erased in the sexualized norms of society.

Fired to cone 10 reduction, this set was made with a stoneware clay body using Buttermilk glaze.
