This set of four functional cups was made in response to my experiences in society as a female. Each face also acts as a handle. The malleability of clay allows me to distort and shape expressions, using the clay surface as a canvas. By placing faces on everyday objects, I explore and critique the way women are often objectified in society, blurring the line between function and identity.

This set features a neutral white matte glaze, fired to cone 10 reduction and made with a stoneware clay body.
